Responsibilities:
The 2S Med-Surg/Telemetry Unit is located on the second floor of the South Tower building.
This is a 30-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring.
The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and infectious processes.
The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to general surgery, GYN, ENT and urology surgeries.
Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac catheterization, stent, and cardiac device placement, etc.
) are often placed on this unit.
