Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Quality Officer, and the Chairman of Diagnostic Imaging, the Administrative Director of Imaging Services employs professional diagnostic imaging skills to assure the highest quality management of all aspects of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The Administrative Director is responsible for directing operations in the following modalities: X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, as well as all operations at the Outpatient Imaging Center at Limerick. Through effective leadership and communication, the Director creates an environment that supports and conveys the organization''s mission and vision to all Department members. The Director encourages and supports staff to take appropriate action and responsibility, to be accountable and to take ownership of their work processes and outcomes, and strives to continuously improve the Department's performance. This position acts as a liaison between the Department Chairman and the other radiologists/cardiologists. The Administrative Director of Imaging Services plans, controls, monitors and assesses departmental operations. The incumbent ensures the smooth, efficient, cost-effective flow of operations throughout the department's divisions including off-site satellites. The Director is responsible for the ongoing development of imaging services with special emphasis on performance improvement, streamlining delivery, capturing all charges and continuously monitoring service quality and delivery. The Administrative Director of Imaging Services participates as an active member of hospital operations led by the CEO.
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technolog Program that has been AMA approved, required
Bachelor''s degree in Healthcare Administration or Management, required
Master''s degree, preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Radiologic Technologist RT (R), required
Must maintain all registry CME requirements annually
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience managing multiple modality imaging department, required
